Israeli business group plans strong investment in El Salvador
With a presence in more than 25 countries, in energy and technology investments, the company is focusing its attention on El Salvador.
Yossi Abadí, general manager of an Israeli business group,
announced that "very soon" it could move its economic capital from
the Holy Land to El Salvador due to the confidence generated by the new
government.
"El Salvador is in its best moments. Today it is respected in
the world and, therefore, we have the best intention to come here and invest in
transcendental projects that transform lives", Abadí commented. The
executive is a representative of the business firm presided by Jacob Engel, an
Israeli businessman with investments in different continents.This magnate already has investments in Central America -such as
Guatemala and Costa Rica ,now the bet is to expand its capital throughout the
region and with emphasis on El Salvador "given its potential opportunities
that have been generated with the rise of President (Nayib) Bukele since last
year," said the company in a statement.The Israeli consortium defines itself as an "emerging
regional ally in the search for a better quality of life for the
inhabitants". It accompanied 20 Salvadoran mayors who participated in the
International Municipalities Fair in Tel Aviv (Muni Expo 2020), held on
February 13.
"The transformation of El Salvador is incredible, it is
evolving by leaps and bounds in such a short time. In so few months, President Bukele
transformed El Salvador from being known as the land of violence, to being the
land of opportunities; land of development and a look of peace", added the
executive.
The Israeli business group operates the National Lottery in
Guatemala with an execution that exceeds $20 million. Meanwhile, in Costa Rica
it would start operations in June of this year through an alliance with the
Costa Rican Red Cross for a private investment that would exceed $10 million.Without specifying amounts and possible projects, the company
explained that the capital would focus on alternatives that have a social
impact, particularly on issues related to youth.
"As responsible businessmen, we have the obligation to bet on
developing projects that, beyond economic profit, lead to the transformation
and improvement of people´s quality of life", added the executive.
