Migration to U.S. would decrease with foreign investment and good education in Central America

The attraction of businesses, along with the improvement of the education system and increased security, will lead Central Americans to develop in their own land, mitigating the need to migrate to the United States.

Faced with this situation, the countries must foster a better business environment."Friends of Central America, regional powers and the private sector, must support the attraction of foreign investment. Only investment and economic development will generate opportunities," said Yossi Abadi, CEO of Grupo TENLOT, which is an operator and licensee of lottery and gaming licenses in Central America. The migration phenomenon in the Northern Triangle is not a new issue in the last two years, however, we know that the increase of migrants has grown, mostly forced by lack of opportunities, violence and insecurity, as stated by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (CEPAL).

Never before has this topic acquired so much relevance, in addition to the Covid-19 crisis that has increased its importance.
